For a long time I was told there was nothing I could do. Low egg quality. Two failed IVFs. Eight years of trying. The tone was always calm, clinical, and final. The kind of certainty that sounds convincing when it comes from a professional, but feels strangely incomplete when you are the one living inside the body being discussed.
Something in me never fully accepted that story. Not because I had answers, and not because I had some grand plan to prove anyone wrong. I simply struggled to believe that something as fundamental as becoming a mother could suddenly be outside my influence, especially when the only option left on the table seemed to be repeating the same interventions and hoping the outcome would eventually change.
When medical assistance wasn’t working, the path that was offered to me became very narrow. Try again. Try harder. Or quietly begin accepting the possibility that it might never happen. Neither of those felt like the whole picture. There was a quiet resistance in me that kept questioning whether the conversation had become too small for what the body actually is.
At the time I was not setting out to get pregnant naturally. I was just trying to get pregnant. After spending more than five years believing it might not happen, the willingness to explore became very wide. I was desperate in ways that only someone who has lived through that experience understands. And in that desperation I tried things that did not help. Some things even made my health worse. When someone feels like time is slipping away, it is very easy to chase solutions that promise control.
Eventually the direction of my attention began to change. Not because someone handed me a perfect answer, but because I started noticing how narrow the conversation around fertility had become. Almost everything focused on the reproductive organs themselves. The ovaries, the uterus, the test results. The body was being treated like a small isolated system when the experience of living inside a body is anything but isolated.
Hormones do not appear in a vacuum. They move through systems that are deeply connected to the rest of our physiology. The brain communicates through the hypothalamus and pituitary. Signals move through the thyroid, the adrenals, the liver, and the gut. Stress alters those signals. Inflammation alters those signals. The environment inside the body constantly shapes how those systems respond to one another.
Once I began seeing fertility through that wider lens, the story started to feel different. Not magically solved, but less final. The body was no longer a broken part that needed to be forced into working. It was a living system responding to everything that had been happening inside it.
Food began to matter in a different way. Rest and recovery began to matter. The constant pressure of stress began to matter. Movement mattered. The way the nervous system carried tension through the day mattered. Even the subtle emotional patterns we carry in the background of our lives began to reveal how much influence they had on the body’s ability to regulate itself.
None of this appeared overnight. It unfolded slowly through attention and curiosity. Over time the body began responding to that shift. Systems that had felt dysregulated for years started stabilizing. The physiology that supports fertility began to function in ways it had not before.
Eventually I became pregnant naturally.
Looking back now, the most striking part of the experience is not the outcome itself. It is how small the original story had been compared to the body actually living through it. Fertility had been reduced to a single measurement and a single organ system when the reality of the body is far more interconnected.
Many people facing fertility challenges are still being placed inside those same narrow explanations. Diagnoses are offered as conclusions rather than starting points for deeper curiosity. The body becomes something to manage instead of something to understand.
But the body rarely operates inside neat clinical boxes. It is an ecosystem of communication between systems that are constantly responding to internal and external influences. When that larger picture begins to come into view, the sense of finality that surrounds many fertility diagnoses often begins to soften.
Sometimes the most powerful shift is not finding a miracle solution. Sometimes it is simply realizing that the story you were given was never the full story of your body. And when that recognition arrives, something inside the nervous system begins to settle. The pressure eases. The body has a little more room to breathe.

Listen up, lovelies: Everything I share about health, diet, or fertility magic is my opinion. Yep, it’s all based on years of trial and error, study, reading, listening, and side-eyeing the nonsense out there. What worked for me might be a jackpot for you—or it might be a total flop. Bodies are weird like that. 🤷♀️
Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not a doctor, nutritionist, dietitian, or any other kind of licensed health wizard. If you need medical advice, run—don’t walk—to an actual qualified professional. Don’t come back here saying Monique told you to eat kale for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, okay?
As for the products I mention, they’re either what I used during my own infertility rollercoaster or what I wish I’d known about back then. No guarantees, no promises, and absolutely no refunds on your hope budget if it doesn’t work out.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, proceed with curiosity and, above all, discernment. You’ve got this. 💪✨

This is how I got pregnant naturally after 8 years of BS, 2 failed IVFs, the doctors telling me I had low A quality and there was nothing I could do to improve my situation. I basically figured out that most fertility issues, even ones with diagnosis, don't have anything to do with your lady bits and most westernly trained medical professionals that deal with lady issues have been taught the wrong things.

And because I'm so stubborn and I don't like people telling me there's nothing that I can do about a certain situation, especially something like becoming a mother, I just didn't accept that when medical assistance wasn't working that I just should keep trying again, hoping for a different result or that my health was for some reason out of my control.
